Note here that the new panel has been curved upward to match the existing floor and bent downward along the outer edge just as the old floor was.

Next, tack weld the patch panel in place using small spot welds. Then remove the Cleco fasteners.
Caution: Do not weld in the new panel with long weld beads. Use small spot welds alternating around the edges allowing each area to properly cool before making the next weld.

Then weld the 3/16 Cleco fastener holes shut.
